DWP 150 cost of living payment exact dates and crucial ‘one-day rule’

Around six million people will soon be receiving a 150 payment from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the exact dates it will land have been confirmed. However, there is a key one-day rule to qualify for it.
Anyone on specific forms of state support will be entitled to the cost of living payment, including those receiving Personal Payment (PIP) and Disability Living Allowance (DLA). Ministers said the payment recognises extra costs disabled people in particular often face, including for care and mobility.
Brits need to have been on one of the following disability benefits on Thursday, April 1, or have been subsequently paid for that date: Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payment, Attendance Allowance, Scottish Disability Benefits (Adult Disability Payment and Child Disability Payment), Armed Forces Independence Payment, Constant Attendance Allowance and War Pension Mobility Supplement.

Payments will land in bank accounts over a two-week period from Tuesday, June 20, to Tuesday, July 4. A small number of payments will be made after this date if claimants are still awaiting confirmation of their eligibility or entitlement to disability benefits on April 1.
At the end of the payment window, there will be an option to report a missing 150 payment if people believe they are entitled to it but did not see it drop into their account. However, some payments may come after that if people only get their benefits confirmed at a later date, according to the DWP.
LancsLive
reported that the 150 cost of living payment is the second of five different amounts to be paid out in a Government package spread across the 2023/2024 financial year and comes after 301 was paid to those entitled between April 25 and May 17. A further set of payments of 300 for pensioners is due later this year, meaning some of the most vulnerable households can receive up to 1,350.
